Write Your Vision And Dare to Believe It
Has there been a time in your life when you knew without any doubt what God wanted you to do but instead you kept it stored in the deepest corner of your mind and only brought it out long enough to dust it off?
God has a plan for all of us. (Jer. 29:11). To be honest the visions that God has given us have been tucked away because we looked at our financial situations and immediately cried out NO WAY! We told God He must have us confused with someone who has the money and the means. But Jer. 29:11 (NIV) says God has a plan – a plan to prosper us. His plan, His vision for us is never based on what we have but on what God HAS. When God gives you a vision don’t you know He is faithful to see it come to pass?
Let’s start by writing down what God has given us. Write it down line upon line and precept upon precept. When I proceeded with this, my ink pen took on a personality of its own and began to expound on things that were so phenominal my breathing became erratic. That deep dark corner of my mind was being vacated and for the first time I could see and think clearly. I could see that if God gave this to me then He would provide what was needed to accomplish it. Why worry about how it was going to get done? This was God’s plan not mine so therefore according to His word he would perform it.
The most important thing is believing God can do it. The next thing is to be obedient to God and don’t get sidetracked. Don’t let the devil steal your vision. That’s why writing it down is important. I must confess even after doing all of the above, I did have thoughts of revising it and making it conform more to what I could do financially. This was my comfort zone. The plan was, do as much as my wallet would allow. Isn’t it amazing how we put limits on God? Isn’t it more amazing how God continues to take those limits off of us?
One important step is asking God to remove all doubt and to renew our mind. (Ro. 12:1-2) Renewing my mind meant that Corporate America could not be a part of this vision. This nation within a nation has kept so many people from believing in God’s abundance. Wake Up! Realize that God is your source.
I had to understand that my financial stability would not be based on a company paycheck but on God’s abundance.
God’s word says He has given us everything pertaining to life and godliness. (2 Peter 1:3)
Write your vision down and clear that area in your mind. Once that’s done, believe it. People will think you have lost your mind but remember people without a vision are perishing. (Prov 29:18). I have dared to write the vision God has given me and also publish it.
