…YET WILL I TRUST THEE!

Have you ever felt everything was closing all around you and there was no way out? You knew there was no resolution to the problem except a miracle coming from God. This is when you finally find out what you are made of. A dear friend of mine talked about her ordeal after a tragic accident in the home, which caused her to come out of the fire saying, “…yet will I trust thee.” She did not know how the bills would be paid but she chose to trust God.

…Yet will I trust Thee.

This friend who had all odds against her came through more determined than ever to spread the goodness of God because she chose to trust Him.

…Yet will I trust Thee.

She amazed the doctors when she started walking months before she was supposed to get out of bed.

…Yet will I trust Thee.

Her bills dwindled down to zero.

…Yet will I trust Thee.

I found myself in a situation trying to believe God for a miracle but doubting that anything would happen. That’s when I was forced to take a deeper look inside myself. (Watch out when you do that!) Let me give you a brief background that may explain my faith logic. For the past 20 years I have worked in the computer software development industry. This has required the use of a lot of logic. For instance, the expression “IF……THEN……ELSE” would always give a result. I had become a logical thinking Christian. IF God did this for me THEN I could do that for Him ELSE I’ll do it myself. The ELSE showed my lack of faith. The ELSE brought to light where my faith was. It was in my own abilities. This is not to say that the computer software development industry is a bad thing. For me I began to think like a computer. I began to process data always wanting to know how.

…Yet will I trust Thee.

As I said before I found myself trying to believe God for a miracle but to make it short I found myself trying to believe God and even shorter believing God. I asked myself how could these thoughts ever enter into my mind?

…Yet will I trust Thee.

God has a plan for your life even when there is doubt on your part. Because of my lack of faith I was forced to deal with some issues which I had tucked away in a hidden closet in my heart. Suddenly, I could sense my Spirit man standing tall. Things did not bother me. Situations did not overcome me. People did not bother me. Praise began to take on a new meaning. God had me to look around at nature. He asked me if I doubted the changing of the seasons or foliage? I did not doubt it. I just knew it would happen. I finally understood! God had gotten through to me! How do I know that God will handle all things? I JUST KNOW IT!

…Yet will I trust Thee.

EOD (End of Doubt)

If you find yourself having a problem trusting God, get honest with Him and be honest with yourself. Acknowledge the fact that you do not have all of the answers. Acknowledge the fact that only God can deliver you from the situation. Romans 4:17 says to “call those things which be not as though they were.” Speak to the situation and know God will handle it.

…Yet will I trust Thee.

Begin to thank God for bringing you through the storm.

…Yet will I trust Thee.
