Silence Is No Longer An Option

Recently I had the opportunity and privilege to attend “A Night To Honor Israel” event sponsored by CUFI (Christians United For Israel). There were several honored guests in attendance but among the ones which stood out for me were the Holocaust survivors. When I saw the humility of the few remaining survivors my heart began to ache for them.

How could this happen?

Silence has a way of ignoring the facts and pretending all is well. I looked up the definition of the word silence. One of the definitions was “the avoidance of mentioning or discussing something”.

Isaiah 62:1 (NIV)
For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.

The Holocaust was real. The Holocaust is real.

There are leaders in other parts of the world who want to repeat the Holocaust. Yet we remain silent.

There are leaders in my own country who have no love for the Jewish people. Yet we remain silent.

Children have no idea what the Holocaust even means. Yet we remain silent.

Our colleges are being infiltrated with holocaust deniers and are teaching hatred on the campuses. Yet we remain silent.

Is history repeating itself?

Silence Is No Longer An Option!

Isaiah 62:1 (NIV)
For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.

There is so much I could write about, but allow God to stir your heart. Next time you hear someone say “Let’s Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem” don’t just nod your head but actually PRAY.

I have also put my money where my mouth is by becoming a monthly supporter of CUFI.

Be blessed!
