Your Destiny

Have you ever wondered why things happen for no apparent reason? I have plenty of times. As you well know by now, you were not just born to take up space but you were born for purpose. God has placed you on the road toward your destiny. The word “destiny” has been defined as the seemingly inevitable or necessary succession of events.

As you enter the year 2001, there will be many challenges to come your way. Do not let any of them frighten you nor deter you from what God has called you to do. God has set you on the proper path and it is up to you to follow it.

Events have happened in your life all year long and in all of the previous years which have brought you to this point. At times, these events have brought pain and at other times joy. Sometimes you even felt like giving up but God allowed someone to step in and speak a word of encouragement. Other times it seemed like a smoke screen appeared from nowhere and you lost sight of what God was doing or you detoured on the path God placed you on. A smoke screen can appear in the form of people who do not understand what God is doing in your life or in the form of things that can keep your mind off of what it is God has called you to do. The word smoke screen has been defined as anything said or done to conceal or mislead.

The year 2001 will be your year of destiny. The smoke screen has been blown away and now you can see clearly where you are going. For some of you this will be the last year for going to a corporate job because God has called you into full time ministry. Do not try to make it happen but allow God to do it. You will know when it’s time because He will cause the necessary events to happen quickly. When God says “move”; MOVE!

Do everything you know to do to prepare yourself because when God begins, He will be moving quickly. Some of you feel as if you totally missed the boat but be assured that God saw every step and was guiding you along the way. Remember destiny is the succession of events. You have felt as if no one has understood you or what it is you were trying to do. A friend of mine wrote me and illustrated it like cooking with different seasonings. Some seasons you like and some you don’t. They are all good to cook with but you’re only use to one particular seasoning. God has seasoned you differently. Because of this you don’t smell the same as everybody else and people take that to be bad.

In the year 2001 stop trying to explain yourself or seek permission. God has already told you what to do. Do not let people or things talk you out of your destiny. God will get accomplished what He needs to have done through you or through someone else.

Be blessed!
