One Ear Left To Hear God

I had dinner the other night with some very special friends.  Throughout the course of the meal one of my friends told us she had a medical condition, which could be deadly.  As we talked about it she further went on to say how the doctor was talking doom and gloom in one ear but in the other ear she heard God saying, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper…” You really know where your faith lies when faced with adversity.

Are you finding it hard to stay focused on what God has told you to do?  Are circumstances getting in the way of your victory?  Do you feel like all hope is gone?  Are you allowing other people to dictate what God has already told you?

Read on.

Speaking from personal experience, when you know God has given you something to do and you begin to walk in it, just know there will be adversity.  The Word of God tells us to take every thought captive that does not line up with the truth. According to II Cor 10:4 –5 (NIV) “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

The hardest thing about taking a step of faith is the first step.  After that you know you can do it.  Have you ever noticed after a baby takes that first step it’s no stopping the progress?  What’s holding you down?

Ok so you ask what’s my big step?  I have two.  Big step # 1:  Nikao News International became incorporated.  We are now Nikao News International, Inc.  Big step # 2:  Nikao News International, Inc. will host its first conference on October 26th, 2002.  That is a big step.  Read the vision for Nikao News International, Inc.  (www.nikaonews.com) and you will see the vision is unfolding.

God has given you an awesome work to do.  If you have not written your vision down, do so now.  Keep the vision in front of you.  If God said it He will do it.  Don’t doubt what God has said just do it.  Take that step of faith no matter how small it may be.  God said do it and that settles it.

Your step of faith may be applying for your passport.  Do it!

Just know that everything we do is for His glory not ours.  God will provide the means if you provide the steps.  What are you waiting for?

Stop making excuses and JUST DO IT!  No matter how small that first step may be, remember in order to walk you must crawl.  After crawling, the time will come when you will stand up and take that first step and then another and another and another…

Finally you may hear negative words from others in one ear, but listen with the other ear for the words no weapon formed against you shall prosper…” Is 54:17.
