As I continued to prepare for the upcoming 2002 Vision and Destiny conference, God began to re-ignite my passion for missions. I began to go to various websites and look at the need of the people overseas. As my heart ached for the different people, tears began to flow down my eyes.
God began to show me that the conference was about His vision and His destiny for His people. It was not going to be about us.
The question is “What is God’s vision?” The Word of God says for us to go into all the world and make disciples or followers of Jesus Christ. We are to baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are to teach them to observe or do all things, which God has shown us.
It is imperative that our vision falls in line with His vision.
God’s destiny for us is to be with Him forever and ever. God does not want anyone of His children to perish.
As you continue to pray and seek God for what you have been called to do, remember that it will never be about you.
The trying times in your life have been for one purpose….to glorify God. Keep high expectations for the things or God. He will never place on you more that what you can bear. Remember the vision is for an appointed time. Wait on it! Though the way forward may look a little dark there is a light up ahead. Continue to walk on the path I have taken you. Remember it is not about the destination but about the journey. There are several things I want to show you on your journey. Keep your eyes straight ahead. You will not be disappointed.
