I’m sure you have heard these words spoken by a lot of renowned preachers but do you believe them?  Do you take God at His Word?  It’s one thing in hearing a lot of good preaching but remember faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.  (Ro 10:17).  How often do we pray a lot of words without praying the Word of God?

As we come to the end of 2004 let us remember the challenges that we all faced as a nation and as individuals.

On a personal note, God has truly let me see how awesome He really is.  When I was at my weakest, God became my strength.  When my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer, God allowed me to cry and have a pity party but only for a moment.  Somewhere between tears and a Kleenex, I began to gain strength.  God began to show me in His Word that He was the Healer and that He was in control of this.  It’s one thing to hear about someone else but when it hits home that is a different ballgame.

During the seven weeks my husband stayed in the hospital, I had a chance to really have some time alone.  I’ve also learned to be careful what you ask for.  During that time I searched for scriptures on healing and even made scripture cards placing them all around my husband’s hospital room.

My body was also in healing mode due to major surgery I had a few months before he was diagnosed.  As I write this, my husband is doing fine and I am 107 pounds lighter.  We are taking his recovery day by day.  I have taken God at His Word and have chosen to believe that all things work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

God is an awesome God!  Always know that He will never leave you nor forsake you.  Allow Him to change things for you.  Let His favor overwhelm you as you go out each day.  Confess favor on your family, job and friends.

God will go before you in all of your endeavors. (Isaiah 45:2)  Don’t make decisions without including God.  Trust God in everything you do.

Prophetically speaking:

God is getting ready to do a new thing in your life.  Stay focused with what He has told you.  Stay open to what He tells you to do.  Don’t think it strange when the favor of God begins to overtake and consume you.  God has promised that He will be with you always.
