God's Divine Strategy

Has God strategized the plan He has given to you?  The word strategy is defined as a plan of action or policy designed to achieve a major or overall aim.

Divine is defined as devoted to God.

Another way of saying this is your plan is devoted to God’s plan because He gave you the plan.

God has given us hope throughout His Word.

Jeremiah 29:11

GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope.

God has also given to each of us a Divine Strategy for victory.

The battle of Jericho is a great example of God’s Divine Strategy.

Joshua 6:2-5

Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

The Lord said to Joshua, Look, I have handed Jericho, its king, and its fighting men over to you.

  • March around the city with all the men of war, circling the city one time.
  • Do this for six days.
  • Have seven priests carry seven ram’s-horn trumpets in front of the ark.
  • But on the seventh day, march around the city seven times, while the priests blow the trumpets.
  • When there is a prolonged blast of the horn and you hear its sound, have all the people give a mighty shout.
  • Then the city wall will collapse, and the people will advance, each man straight ahead.

Now think back to what God has given to you.

God told Joshua that Jericho had already been given to him.  We’re talking about a God so precise that He already knew the outcome BECAUSE HE knew Joshua would follow the plan.  Because of Joshua’s obedience, the last line of this chapter reads: And the Lord was with Joshua, and his fame spread throughout the land.

Whatever God has given to you to accomplish, He expects you to follow His orders because we already have an example through Joshua.

Now think back to what God has given to you.

Why am I repeating this sentence?  Because I want you to know that God has divinely given to you His purposes, His plans, His victories and His strategies.  God knows that you can do whatever He has given to you to do.

If God knows you can do it, then what is the problem?  It is time to stand-up and do what God has called you to do.  Get out of that comfort zone and dare to take that leap of faith.

Don’t you want people to hear how the Lord was with you when you conquered your Jericho?  Stop letting fear overcome you.  Stop thinking small.  Stop letting people talk you out of what God has told you to do.  Stop letting people talk you into what God has not told you to do.

God has given us all BIG dreams.  What could be bigger than defeating an entire city?

As God was with Joshua, He is also with you.

Stop making excuses.  God is with you. God has given you the plan.  How do I know this?  I know it because I would not be writing this.  God tells me what to write and when to write and I am obedient with that.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Final Words:

I have used the word “STOP” several times in this article.  The definitions for the word stop are come to an end or cease.

God loves you so much.  He wants you know that.  God is real.  Take what He has given to you, spread your wings and fly!  Take what He has given to you and as Indiana Jones did, take that leap even if you don’t see where your next step will be.  Remember when Indiana Jones raised his leg to step out; only then did the path become visible.
