God's Positioning System

Sometimes we miss out on what God wants for us because it does not fit into our pattern of design.   We try to position ourselves rather than be positioned by God.

Psalm 37:23 NLT

The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives.

As God has ordered my steps, I have been in total awe of what He can do when we step out in faith. God has allowed me to sit at the table and have coffee with a U. S. Congressman and a supporter of the Constitution. His conservative values are the same as my conservative values.

But let me back up. I was invited by a friend to a monthly event at another friend’s home. I was not sure what to expect but I knew that I trusted God and He was ordering my steps. On arrival, I noticed cars were parked everywhere.  There were people everywhere.  I was told by my friend that it would be casual and only dessert would be served.

As I sat and talked with everyone, I was invited to go into the dining room to sit at the table with the Congressman. What? I had already heard so many remarkable things about this man but had no idea I would be able to sit and talk with him over coffee. That was too cool. He has been ridiculed because of his Christian beliefs but continues to stand strong.  He believes in God’s Word and will not back down from that. He also is a firm believer of the U S Constitution.

So once again I must repeat this. Sometimes we miss out on what God wants for us because it does not fit into our pattern of design.   We try to position ourselves rather than be positioned by God.

Not only did I get a chance to have coffee with a Congressman who called me by my name when we spoke but I also was able to hear from a Georgia Senator and ask questions on things which concerned me as well. It was such an experience because I knew God had ordered my steps and I knew I was there for such a time as this.

***Please note that the Congressman and Senator are not from my district and I have chosen not to disclose the names because I did not seek prior approval.

Final Thoughts!

  • God has given you the coordinates so why are you trying to change them?
  • Trust the path God has set before you.
  • Your steps have been ordered by God and not by man.
  • Always know and believe that God’s Positioning System will never fail you.

Proverbs 3:5-6  NLT

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

So my final words are: Sometimes we miss out on what God wants for us because it does not fit into our pattern of design.   We try to position ourselves rather than be positioned by God.

Don’t reposition what God has already positioned!

Be totally blessed!
