In seeking God for His Words to write, I am always open to the adventure when seeking His Words. I was reading Jesus Calling by Sarah Young for December 30th. The last sentence was “Enjoy the adventure of finding yourself through losing yourself in Me.” I have found when God has something to say it always turn into an adventure. It can be that of meeting new people, traveling to different places, developing relationships, or just trying new things. Whatever the adventure may be, God is always the focus.
What we seem to forget is that our old life is gone and we do have a new life in Christ!2 Corinthians 5:17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! (NLT)
We are God’s masterpiece. He created us to do the good things He had already planned for us to do.Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (NLT)
How do you see yourself? The word masterpiece is defined as a work of outstanding artistry, skill, or workmanship. As we close out the year 2013 and begin a completely new year you must know that God made you a work of outstanding artistry. He gave you skills to use for His Glory.
God wants to take you on an adventure.
December 12, 2013 was my 10 year anniversary for making the decision to lose the weight. I remember as I was being prepped for surgery, I was thinking about how much my life was going to change. I was considered morbidly obese and frankly time was not on my side. I have lost over 150 pounds and have kept it off. I can honestly say I am enjoying the adventure God has me on.
For 2014, God wants to take you on an adventure and you know what? It is OK! Make a plan and stick to it. Become accountable to someone. I am accountable to my doctors, family and friends. I love it now when I go for a physical and get on the scales.
For 2014, take the chains off.
For 2014, have no doubt about what God has called you to do!
For 2014, soar!
For 2014, no more excuses.
For 2014, just do it!
Let this be your year of adventure with God.
