Quiet The Noise

Is there NOISE in your life? The word noise is defined as any sound that is undesired. It has also been defined as loud, confused or senseless shouting. The word quiet is defined as “to calm or calm”.

What is the NOISE in your life? All you have to do is turn on the evening news, read a newspaper or log on to any social media platform such as Twitter or Facebook and discover what is happening in the world. There were so many opinions flying around all I really wanted to do was shut everything down. I began to fear that my articles would never get read. How could I get my message to the people? When did God’s message to the people become “my” message to the people?

I am not sure when it happened but trusting in Email, Facebook, Twitter and others to get my message out was more important than trusting God with His message. For me it became an obsession to make sure I had “followers” and that I was being “followed” or making sure I “Liked” everything or the emails were “forwarded”. Freedom came for me when I screamed “ENOUGH! – I WILL WRITE ONLY WHAT GOD WANTS ME TO WRITE AND TRUST HIM FOR GETTING IT OUT”.

Don’t get me wrong. There will always be a place for social media. I love receiving emails and responses from people on how they have been blessed after reading one of the articles from Nikao News. I love how you can post things without ever logging onto the platform with the help of Constant Contact or Social Oomph.

God does not need any social media to get His message out. I was reminded of this while flying back from Orlando, FL. God had placed an awesome woman next to me for such a time as this. We began talking and it became clear to the both of us that our meeting was a setup from and by God. God’s message is alive and well!

Will you be able to quiet the NOISE in your life? YES!

Ephesians 3:20 (NIV) – GOD CAN DO IT BETTER

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,


Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him;

I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.


He caused the storm to be still,
So that the waves of the sea were hushed.
Then they were glad because they were quiet,
So He guided them to their desired haven.
