Psalm 121: 5-8 (NIV)
5 The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
This is my personal story of how God’s Love will conquer all fear.
I live next to a family who obviously have a lot of turmoil going on inside the home as well as outside of the home. As the years went by I tolerated it because at the time my husband was alive. Seven years later the family is still there along with 2 little ones and the trouble as escalated.
Without going into too much detail, one of the occupants who might be in his early 20’s seems to attract violent people who would like to see him dead. Actually word on the street is a “hit” has been taken out on him. No this is not from a movie. This is real.
A few days earlier gun shots blasted through the home but no one was hurt but the home needs a lot of repair. I became so angry. All I wanted to do was to take a bat to the young man hoping that would put some sense in him.
BUT GOD settled me and reassured me everything that had taken place was for His Glory. God reminded me how He opened up the door for me to pray with one of the other occupants in the home a few months ago. At that point my heart began to change. I knew God had me where He wanted me. My desire is to reach that young guy and give him the Message of Jesus Christ. I pray that God will open the door for that encounter.
Am I afraid? Nope. God is watching over me. I totally believe His Word. I know that God has been preparing me for such a time as this. He has placed His Love in my heart for people who others may not want to be around.
I know God is preparing me for the world. He has placed me around people who have gone into countries where I would have never thought about going. I want to minister to all who are willing to listen. That means going to other countries where the Gospel is not readily available. My life is all about what God wants me to do and say and where He wants me to go. I finally understand what Philippians 4:7 truly means.
Philippians 4:7 (KJV)
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
The Great Commission
Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
God said ALL NATIONS…not…ALL SAFE NATIONS!
Be totally and outrageously blessed!
