A Greater Love

In 2016 I saw politicians, our elected officials, making an effort to derail the 2016 Presidential elections.  I saw the media obviously making up poll numbers which showed their candidate winning.  But with all of the scheming, the media’s candidate did not win. I saw people in the streets breaking windows, burning cars, shouting obscenities and making threats because they did not agree with the outcome of the 2016 Presidential elections. I saw our elected officials behaving in such a way that caused my heart to sink.

John 14:1

Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.

What was being reported in the news was horrendous.

God do you see what is going on?

God do they understand?

God don’t they know You love them?

I saw fear in people who were going along to get along but really wanted to do the opposite.

But there were some who stood up to the “bullies” because it was the right thing to do.

Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

As we entered into 2017, the threats, the violence, and the hate became worst.  People were determined to destroy this country, my country, America.

As Christians we are called to be a light to those who are in darkness.  Jesus Christ died for all of us.

Matthew 5:14-16

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

My final thoughts!

It is because of Him that we breathe.

It is because of Him that we live.

It is because of Him that I am who I am.

It is because of Him that I am not ashamed to speak the Words of Jesus Christ.

It is because of Him that I am willing to die for Him.

It is because of the One who died for me I will serve Him forever.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
