As I write this month’s article my mind is thinking back to Easter when I was a child. I remember the crowded stores, beauty parlors with excited little girls including me getting a special hairstyle for Easter.  I remember my mom taking me to the store for my Easter outfit.  There was so much excitement in the air.  I will never forget those days filled with love and lots of food.

Going to church and Sunday school was not an option in my home.  We all went as a family whether my brother and I wanted to be there.

So what has changed?  When I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior I changed.  As I became an adult,  Easter shopping did not mean much to me. I was more concern about those who did not know anything about Jesus.

Take time this Sunday to focus on Jesus Christ.  Hebrews 13:8 in the King James reads Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.  Jesus has not changed but we all have changed.

Jesus died on the cross so that we might live.  The best part is He is alive and with the Father in Heaven.

Finally, my friends if you have not made Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior what are you waiting for?

I would love to send some information to you on making Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior.  Send an email to with your name and mailing address and I will send a packet to you via regular mail. Also, include in the Subject Line “Request Info”.

Let us never forget John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Be outrageously blessed!

  1. Thank you for this awesome post. I too revere and honor Easter differently now that I have been changed. Although I still like to look my best in celebration of the joy of my salvation through the Resurrection and new life in my Lord Jesus the Christ.
